Parent Voice

Parents benefit from being able to express their views and knowing that they are able to make a difference. They also benefit from meeting and working with others in a setting in which they feel comfortable and from the advice and guidance the college and other parents are able to give them in supporting their children with their learning. As a parent-led group, the Parent Voice does not require involvement from the governing body or college staff in its day-to-day running. However, we are making a real difference through our close and constructive relationship with the college and have the full support of the governing body and college leadership team.

You can contact the school by:
 

• Writing a comment in a student’s planner – planners are checked weekly by tutors. If your concern is urgent please ask your child to inform the tutor, or teacher, so they are aware of your note on the day that you write it.

• Telephoning the school on 524651. Contact made by telephone will, where possible, be returned within 24 hours.

• Emailing  info@carisbrooke.iow.sch.uk Please include the name of the member of staff you wish the query to be directed to in the subject box i.e. FAO Mr/ Mrs X

• If you would like to raise a specific concern about the general running of the school or have any questions, you can email: parentvoice@carisbrooke.iow.sch.uk Concerns or questions will go to members of the leadership team. We would like to extend this to members of our Parent Voice once the group is well established.

• If you would rather discuss concerns directly, a member of the leadership team will be available from 4 – 5pm every Friday.  Please let us know before 4pm if you are going to attend because reception will be closed after that time.  The meetings will usually take place in the staff room
