Student Support

At Carisbrooke College, we aim to be proactive in responding to the diverse learning, social and other needs of students.

Dedicated teachers, learning support assistants and learning mentors take responsibility for the  delivery of the curriculum in each subject area. Staff are assigned to learning areas and work  losely  with students at all times of the day, including breaks and after school. The curriculum areas  are closely supported by the pastoral system where each group will be assigned a Director of  Learning and an assistant to oversee the year group.

The year group is then subdivided into tutor groups. The role of the tutors is to have an overview of the students and to meet them every day in  a tutorial session. Parents are encouraged to speak to their child’s form tutor if they have any  concerns or, indeed, wish to share good news about their children.
